Patrice van Riemsdijk

Patrice offers a diverse range of experiences to her current activities as coach to senior executives and learning facilitator for top talent in intercultural environments. Her passion lies in growing leadership capabilities that effectively contribute to sustainable global leadership.

She began her career in international organisations, starting with KLM, Royal Dutch Airlines where she held several marketing positions and was a member of its first worldwide Quality management team. From there, she joined Hill & Knowlton, where she was responsible for corporate communication strategies and PA activities.

With a growing interest in how business could have a different impact other than merely complying with the bottom line, Patrice became Executive Director of Social Venture Network Europe, an international network of business leaders, entrepreneurs, NGOs and business schools working to establish socially responsible best practices in business. In the same period she was co-founder of the Institute of Social and Ethical Accountability in London.

After this, Patrice joined Spencer Stuart, an international executive search firm, in Amsterdam, where she lead many international board searches in the Consumer Goods and Internet Practices.

She coordinated the projects of the CEO Panel, a group of 14 multinationals active in water management and chaired by Unilever, for the third WorldWaterForum in Kyoto. The focus was on innovative approaches towards responsible water management. In Kyoto joint global initiatives and projects were launched.

She is a member of the International Supervisory Group of AIESEC, a global student organisation and Patron of the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Chicks Network in the Netherlands.

She is Chair of the Wisdom Council of The Hub the Netherlands, a habitat for social innovation and entrepreneurship designed and run by its members.
