Ian Hale
Ian Hale has been leading, coaching and delivering coaching skills training to individuals and groups for over 15 years.
He led and directed the transformational LEAP programme for the United Nations, a series of cutting-edge seminars designed to bring 21st century leadership and entrepreneurial thinking to the worldwide membership of the Cooperative movement.
At BP he has coached senior executives and presented a number of personal and leadership development programmes. People say that he leads with an energy, passion and directness (which means not skirting the tough questions and issues). To quote one director: “Ian has led extremely successful events that have become a part of our language to describe a point in time when our motivation and drive to work as a team changed”.
His other clients have included Schlumberger, Coca Cola, BOC, BDO and Selfridges.
Originally trained in hotel and catering management at the Trust House Forte Group, he developed his career in some of the worlds most prestigious hotels where he formed a profound understanding of excellent customer service and exceeding expectations.
Before beginning his consulting work he was accounts director at ITT Yellow Pages where he gained a grounding in the principles of presenting, building and developing relationships and exquisite communication skills.
Trained in Ontological Coaching, Therapeutic Counselling, Neuro Linguistics, and Hypnotherapy, he also led for National Parent link and pioneered programmes on fathering with the National Children’s Homes.
He enjoys many sports, is a very competitive hockey player and whilst at his Devon home can be found gardening or tending to his flock of chickens, guinea fowl and turkeys that he breeds for the table.
