Arjan
Overwater
Arjan Overwater serves as Managing Director with Future Considerations.
His focus is on helping businesses accelerate their strategy by creating
focus on their top priorities through engaging the whole business system.
He acts as a coach to senior executives on boards and top teams and
has a passion for learning and supporting personal change in making
large business changes stick.
Arjan developed a method on organizational
and personal change which has been pioneered and used in many of our
projects for large global companies. He has consulted with most of the
clients that Future Considerations works for. Arjan is committed to developing
organisations where trust, purpose and people can flourish, and to helping
organisations implement leadership programs that develop corporate responsibility
in both their structures and their people.
Arjan previously served as CEO of Unilever Russia, Ukraine and Byelorussia,
was Global Senior Vice-President HR for Unilever and Director HR in
Western Europe for Coca-Cola. He started his career for Shell in the
Netherlands and UK where he worked for 8 years in different roles.
He also worked for the Hay group, a global consultancy firm, as director
in the Netherlands.
Arjan is originally from the Netherlands. He was educated as a theologian
and took an MBA after completing his studies in the Netherlands and
the USA. Arjan has also studied at Harvard Business School on the Advanced Management Program.
He
is still regularly in the Netherlands as well as in the USA with his
wife and two daughters (usually at the beach in Maryland). In his spare
time he supports Human Rights watch on their European Advisory board,
plays tennis, reads avidly and collects Napoleonic artefacts. He is
also a board member of CPL (Centre for Public leadership in the Netherlands).
